Monte Carlo Calculator Info
A Monte Carlo simulation models the probability of different outcomes in a process that cannot easily be predicted due to the intervention of random variables. For sports betting, it simulates thousands of trial runs across your wagers to evaluate your portfolio's expected profit, distribution, and likelihood of finishing in profit.
- Events
- One wager per line, in the format: stake, odds, probability (e.g. 100, -110, 52.4).
- Expected
- The exact mathematical expected profit (EV) summed across all wagers.
- Mean
- The average profit or loss across all 10,000 simulated iterations.
- Median
- The middle outcome of the simulation distribution (50th percentile).
- Minimum
- The worst-case total profit or loss across all simulated runs.
- Maximum
- The best-case total profit or loss across all simulated runs.
- Profitable
- The percentage of simulation runs that ended with a strictly positive profit.
